Beach Bar At Newport Pier Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

There is inside and outside seating, it actually goes onto the pier the seating outside. We ended up eating inside at a booth that comfortably fit 4 of us. Everyone I was with loved what they got, chicken panini , oysters, sushi .. I got the Mexican sushi and it was alright, I would not order it again though. We had an awesome waitress that made sure everything was going well and that we had what we needed.

I give 5 stars to the excellent friendly service, 5 stars to the sushi and 5 stars to the location. I'm staying at the resort for a week and we've been down the bar almost every day.

This place was something that north miami really needed! A very cool, modern style pier restaurant for people to hang out by the beach and have a great time while eating nice food and not only burgers and fries. We love how having early dinner here lets you see the fishermen going to the end of the pier while you have a beer and some sushi! THE FOOD is nice, we always have sushi and it is not bad at all, my favorite dish though is the angel hair pasta with clams and shells, absolutely delicious! Also the mussels are super yummy! The desserts not so much though, they need a better offer, and the service is a tad slow sometimes without even been full. Overall a very good experience having dinner indoors or out by the sea and with a really nice ambience that music compliments at night!

This place is okay. I was disappointed that we could not sit outside, on the deck, without shoes. I mean it is a "beach bar" and it's on a pier. Really? I guess they get by with their location. Service was attentive. Sushi was just average.

My friends and I visited this place on 07/28. The service isn't great at all. I feel like our server just basically stopped by our table to drop stuff off and left. The food is ridiculously overpriced. We ended up just ordering appetizers (crab bisque, chicken wings, and pot stickers) because we weren't that hungry, but the food was awful. Our waiter basically told us that the price of everything was due to the location of the restaurant. Overall the best asset this restaurant has to offer is the ocean view since it is located on the pier and you can sit outside and enjoy the ocean breeze which is nice.

I'm mixed on this place. At times I want to give it 4 stars and at other times 3. First of all the main reason to come here is for the ambiance, sitting outside overlooking the water. Though because of the pier that can be a negative as well. You get people walking by smoking even though there's no smoking. You get people walking by with the radios blaring. If you sit in the pier area they charge you stop sit out on the pier which I think is absolutely ludicrous. The service is average. The two times I've gone I've had the same server. He's nice, but not very attentive. The first time I went I got the Italian Beef Dip, which was awesome. First of all the sandwich was stuffed with slice beef and topped with melted provolone cheese. The description says it comes with giardinara(?), which was a joke. It was 2 large chunks of carrot and one pepper slice. They need to do finer pieces and much more of it. This time I had the bacon cheeseburger, which had two small pieces of bacon. The burger was decent, though I would get the Beef Dip in the future. My wife today got the Mahi Sandwich grilled with mashed potatoes. She got fries instead of mashed potatoes and corrected the server which he went to go get and never came back with until we had to ask again. My daughter got the California Roll and Tuna Roll sushi. My daughter and I didn't like the Tuna Roll, but my wife found it palatable. The prices are expensive for what you get. The only thing that makes the prices somewhat acceptable is the view. However, in the future we would like choose Shuckers over the Beach Bar.

One side of menu is sushi and one side is salads, sandwiches and entrees with an emphasis on seafood items. No printed kids menu but they do offer your standards. My daughter went for the sushi though, and devoured the California roll. She ordered a tuna roll too which was basic. Husband had a bacon cheeseburger which he thought was good but not enough bacon. I had grilled mahi sandwich. The mahi was a little dry and definitely needed the tarter sauce which wasn't anything special. The challah bread was good. Pluses: nice to sit at base of pier over water and there is some fun people watching. Service was good Negatives: pricey. They charge you to actually go on to pier, even if eating there. And since on pier people continually walked by smoking, playing music on radios, etc. parking is minimal so had to park across street at center and walk over. On whole, I'll stick with shuckers for eating but would bring an out of guest here for a drink if I didn't want to drive down to hollywood

The price are quite reasonable when you take in the view. I had the hamburger which was huge. The manager and waiter were more than willing to accommodate my allergies to seafood. They promised to prepare by meal on an entirely separate grill which was very comforting to me. I must return. Loved it:

If you're looking for a place with cocktails and a nice view of the Atlantic, this is a good bet in Sunny Isles. Being from NJ, I found it fascinating that not every place on the beach had a bar overlooking the ocean. That's what we do up north but in Miami, it's all about the private, gated thing. Gotta keep the riff-raff out from the 26 million $$ condos... This place is located thru the Newport Beach Hotel. So if you pass the restaurant in there (called Kitchen 305) and head out the back door towards the pier, you'll find this place. Menu is quite eclectic with sushi and humus and seafood platters all available. We opted for cocktails and apps and we weren't disappointed. Started off with 2 Key Lime Martini's and they were good! Strong and good! After 2 rounds of those (careful - lightweights should stop at 2) moved on to some crazy martini with vodka, cranberry juice and lychee liqueur. Tasty and a bit potent as well. Cocktails run the gamut in price $10 - $12 so not bad, especially given the view. Service was good as well with a team approach. We had a "trainee" as our server and she was excellent So whatever they're doing in their hiring, keep it up. Available when we needed something and friendly to boot. Nice. For food we ordered the hummus platter and one of Sushi Mike's Spicy Tuna rolls. The hummus platter was definitely the winner as it was a combo of chickpea and edamame hummus which made it quite delightful! Served with all the sides you'd expect - veggies, flatbreads, pitas, etc. The sushi was a bit bland as the tuna was not too spicy and the ginger was pretty tasteless. But given the cocktails, service and hummus, I'm gonna let the sushi slide. It was just "OK." What's nice is you can dress way down at this place (unlike everywhere else in Miami where even a suit can sometimes feel under-dressed) and of course, there's the view on the pier. if you're in the area and looking for a nice place to chill, take in a view and knock back a few cocktails, the beach bar is a good call.

Easy seating. Sat on the pier and had amazing view of the beach. Service was ok, food was decent. Portion was a good size for the price. Not anything fancy here but just a convienent place off the beach. We had the seafood dishes and a dozen blue point oysters for $24 a dozen and it taste fresh and good. All in all not bad.

This place is great! Very clean great drinks and food! Don't miss the great fresh fish sandwich! It's yummy! The staff and management of this place is great! Very updated and clean bathrooms hard to find at a Beach Bar but this is not your normal beach bar! Head and shoulders above the rest! Give them a try if you are in the area you won't regret it!

Nice location on the pier in beautiful Sunny Isles. A great place to get drinks and hang out. The seafood, oysters, and the Double Down 2 sushi roll were very good. My friend had a steak that was so so. Lastly, it was my friends birthday and even though they knew and we spent hundreds of dollars, they did nothing to recognize it. Overall I would come back.

Proximity skepticism was in full force until I walked into this "25 feet from the pool place" on the pier and I was greeted with a smile and saw the pro sushi equipment and staffers. Friendly people took my order and the carry out sushi impressed everyone in the clan. Great rolls-- fresh fresh fresh and tasty! They provided plenty of ginger and wasabi, too. The premium prices were well worth it.

Horrible service :( Gratuity was included without any notice, the server didn't deserve it but the bartender sure did! The food was okay but my husbands bacon Berger was cold when it got to us The only reason this place it getting two stars if for the drinks (when the waiter remembered to bring them)

Update 5/16: Food came, it's alright. sushi is good, shrimp were ehh.. Manager brought the food over, expressed my issue and they comp'd my drink... Update 5/18: Was starving so I came back to give it another try. I came at 11:30am, was seated prompted and a waitress came pretty fast. A completely different experience from the first where the service wasn't ideal. But the waitresses name was Jasmine, very friendly, attentive and helpful. The Buffalo Wings Im sure were microwaved. The other dishes were cool, nothing spectacular but I cant complain too much this time. I suppose my last visit was an isolated incidence. I leave tomorrow so the question is would I come back to dine here??? Yes, mainly for convenience.

The view is definitely worth five stars but the service knocks down my review to two stars. Awful service! I wasn't surprised once I saw the automatic gratuity. I guess the servers just don't care since they get a great tip regardless. I would come back only if I have a lot of time and don't plan on eating. Sushi was just ok - way too much rice.

Good location - that is where it ends. Food and service poor, also, over charged our credit card by 3x - mistake ? Not sure ! It took 13 days to get it resolved !

What a phenomenal little hidden gem! Found this waterfront bar / restaurant on yelp while up in North Beach and glad I did. The restaurant is located on the pier, over the waves, who could ask for a better view! The service is great, fast and attentive, and the food is well above average. They offer the usual American choices, plus have a complete Sushi menu, although there seems to be a little too much emphasis on crunchy bits and mayo of various flavors, but apparently people must like that type of thing as I see it more and more on Menus. You can go wrong with a meal at this place, the name says it all, Beach + Bar + Pier= Chill.

This place is awesome & the scenery is beautiful!! Great place to have some drinks, eat & relax. The food was very good & our servers Susan & Heiner very extremely attentive. I will definitely be coming back!

  • Mary G.

The location is absolutely perfect. Food and drinks are great as well, but definitely pricey. The huge TV's are nice for watching the game. If it was priced better, I'd give this place 5 instead of 4 stars.

  • Natalia L.

The view is unbelievable!!! So beautiful! Having lunch next to the water is priceless! Food and service really good! Haven't seen anything like this in Miami so far, I feel like in a tropical island!

  • Jason B.

I found my experience similar to what other reviews describe: good food, with a diverse menu, and horrendous service. We were forgotten for awhile when seated and had to wait awhile to order, for our food, and to get the bill. And with the service charge of 18% already added, there's no recourse when service is bad or non existent. Again, good food, but be prepared to wait.

I have to say Service is awful !! Place is empty, sushi wasn't fresh, had Edamame just outta microwave , tuna takai was brown ! Very $$$$ , sad but true, Servers everywhere but have no clue on what they re doing, asked for cocktail onion for my drink, he thought Purple onions? lol no really, sushi roll all rice no fish, enough said, Atmosphere is beautiful , order a glass of wine , they can't mess that up! Enough said, very sad..

Thank you Luza for being an excellent server and helping us out in our little Fathers Day pool celebration plus final match of Copa America. If you want food and drinks that aren't cheap come here. Try to look for a Colombian server called Luza she is nice and will take care of you. Parking tip: go to the beach pier parking is municipal and just make sure you pay 2 hours of more because you'll have fun and time flies!

This place was great. Beautiful views and very friendly staff. The food was pretty good it's your typical bar type food. The sushi was good as well. They were more than friendly and the drinks were great.

  • Valentina R.

The view is amazing but the food is wayyyyyy over priced! A whole fried snapper is usually $20-$30 bucks anywhere in south fl, here it was $52 and wasn't even that good! I guess you pay for the location (which is gorgeous) but way too over priced !!

  • Yami R.

Great service! Amazing view... Nice place to relax and have fresh seafood. Ask for Ben, best waitress he was really helpful besides great personality!

  • Morgan G.

Such a cool dining experience to sit outside on the pier. Service was ok. Food was excellent and very fresh. It's a little on the pricey side. Also parking is difficult- would be so much better if the restaurant had dedicated parking

So I decided to come have dinner at thr pier , Ordered dinner at 930, its 1015 still not here.. very nice outdoor seating very bad timing for food. Tyler good server but crystal jones the manager was not able to fix the situation Overall bad service .. when you go out to dinner knowing its expensive you should get your food on time. The manager should be managing better not saying i dont know what to do about this..she asked me what should she do..?

  • Lucy S.

Delicious! Only reason I'm not giving it a five star is the nasty attitude the hostess had, party of 5 and she was trying to make us sit in a table for 4 meaning one of us would get a corner?? Asked her if we could get a table for 5 and she opened her eyes like we put chlorine in them.... Manager came and helped us because clearly she doesn't know the rule of Tetris a hostess has to play with tables on the floor

We intended to dine at a different restaurant each evening, yet we ate at the Beach Bar on the fishing pier 3 days out of four. The Cobb salad and Maryland crab cakes are out of this world!!! The wait staff was great! Gabbi, Taylor and Marcello took great care of us!! Hint: Ask for a couch out on the pier and then watch for dolphins!

Fresh oysters, great salads, fresh sushi, cold drinks, awesome view, friendly staff. What more do you need for a great lunch?

Okay so... I am disappointed to say that my experience here was just OK solely because of the crummy service this restaurant has to offer. The service is pathetic. We had Raquel as our server and she had zero personality whatsoever throughout the ENTIRE meal until she delivered the bill (typical bad server behavior) at which time she flashed us a half hearted smile and said "have a good day". And do you know why she didn't even bother trying with us at all? Because the restaurant has an automatic 18% gratuity added to every single bill. She was slow, not friendly at all, didn't speak english very well, and disappeared constantly. Giving all of your employees an automatic 18% gratuity is ridiculous. She didn't even try. I always tip well as long as my server is attentive and friendly! That's all it takes! That being said...The seating is literally ON the ocean (which is difficult to find in Miami for some reason). The water is crystal clear and there's a great breeze coming off thewater and the tables are shaded. The food was good. I had a burger which was great. My wine was also very good. If only the service was good, than I could have given this place 5 stars.

We were greeted nicely by our hostess. Waitress was courteous and explained the specials of the day to us. We ordered PO Boy sandwich comes with fries and some coleslaw and shrimp ceasar salad. These were reasonably priced. The entrees however were a little too pricey. Overall customer service and atmosphere were good. I would go back. Gratuity is automatically added to your bill for 18 percent.

There are many positive things about this place. It is located in of the best locations in South Florida "The pier in Sunny Isles". In the hearth of Sunny Island with the most incredible view. When it comes to the service, it was very professional and the food was good. Frankly, I had a good time after a few drinks and a day of madness. My wife and I had 4 really good Strawberry Martinis while enjoying the basketball game. I really enjoyed the conch fritters and also the presentation. I had a New York Strip Steak with potatoes au gratin and pigeon peas rice. The best potatoes au gratin that I had in a long time. However, when the check came, believe me, I was surprised. This is no joke. It was all dollar $$$$ bills. It is an expensive place to dine in. If you are thinking about going to this place, bring 2 wallets to pay that bill. I forgot to mention the valet. There's no parking around the pier and your only option is to valet in the hotel "Newport hotel" for more than $20.

  • Caiti R.

Great location, only decent food. I ordered the ahi tuna burger and the flavor just wasn't all that great, plus it could be jazzed up a bit for $17 - maybe slaw, ginger, avocado - something to make it stand out. My friend ordered the regular bacon cheeseburger and raved over it and my drinks were well made which is saving the rating on this. If it weren't for the location and the friendly bartender I probably wouldn't be back. Parking is also a struggle if the small lot outside is full.

Excellent restaurant is amazing a because it's on the sea pier, prices are very nice food a great behalf bar drop bar I'm fresh oysters- great for kids --- good at just over the beach -

This is my favorite spot in all Miami. First of all, it's literally on the ocean on a pier. The food is amazing! Good music. They have sofa cabanas outdoors going out to the pier, indoor/outdoor bar, sushi bar, raw bar, huge screen tv's to watch the games. They even have a cart that sells beers on the pier. Definitely a Miami spot worth checking out.

Absolutley a Tourist Place!! Everything is waaaayyyy over priced!! $10.00 for 3 olives & Sprite ??? Even though everyone was nice & the place is clean, we re Not paying Tourist prices for Mediocre Food quality & Weak over priced drinks. We won't be back!!!

    (3)
  • A G.

Just like a lot of the other reviews, I was disappointed with the food for the price. Only mediocre with a high price tag. However the view is great and my mojitio was strong!

  • Debbie H.

Great atmosphere, good food, service was outstanding. We had oysters and sushi both were amazing. Prices are average and the owner came by every table and asked about the meal and experience. Would definitely go back next time I am in town.

Sushi was good quality. Server was great and location is nice. Grilled cheese was horrible!! Fries tasty. Beer was cold from tap (corona) and ok ambiance. My sister lives at la Perla so I'll definitely be back.

  • Rick S.

This place is great. Its right on the pier with an excellent view and breeze. The oysters were good and the conch fritters were superb. If you wants great place with views and good food. The only thing i didn't agree with is they included 18% gratuity just for me and my wife. I don't feel that this was right. That is why is I made it a 4. Service was good

    (4)
  • D H.

Great views. It was clean (somewhat) I went at dusk. Food was good and fresh (small portions on sandwiches). Seemed a little overpriced, not for Miami. My waiter were a little rude. Not very customer service driven.

  • Gaby O.

Really good sushi and service! The location is beautiful for a romantic dinner! Just a little overpriced.

    (4)
  • Whitney S.

The seafood pasta was outstanding. Our waitress was very friendly. Amazing views. Only complaint was I thought it was a bit pricey. Definitely worth the stop if you like to see the ocean.

    (4)
  • Rocio R.

I live where the pier is so I've eaten here a few dozen times. Is it top of the line, worth the money? No but it has an amazing view, chill atmosphere and good service (especially if you get their best server, Cruz!) my top 2 items are the spicy tuna roll and cheeseburger. My least favorites is grilled cheese and anything that has their chicken breast as it is clearly low quality, frozen chicken. I'll keep on coming back!

    (4)
  • Dennis L.

The service was terrible, only took them 30 mins to get us water and take our drinks order. The food wasn't good. If I didn't have to pay $10 for parking, I would of walked out. Only upside is the view.

    (1)
  • William G.

The two stars are for the prices! This pier is beautiful, food is good but just okay. I have to say that the food prices are a little expensive for what you get but another thing is drink Prices! Omg the drinks are $15 plus just for ONE!! There is no reason for that. I was enjoying this place so much until I got the bill. DO NOT GO HERE! I hope someone reads this that manages this place. I felt so bad after only 2 beers and one frozen drink for throwing away that much money! Plus tip was put in the bill and I was alone. I live here and thought I would try it but never ever again will I waste so much money! I should have asked first about pricing but when you go out you don't want to be embarrassed by asking prices however lesson learned. If you just want to throw money away or don't care then go otherwise beware!!! RIP OFF!! There's no reason to disrespect people by overcharging and it's really sad.

Spent a couple of afternoons in Pier Park and yelped the Beach Bar. reviews were solid so stopped in for lunch and I was glad I did, Got a nice table right on the pier in the sun. Great views of the Sunny Isles skyline. ordered a couple of drinks and they were delivered quickly by the attentive wait staff. Drinks were quite stiff, just like I like em,. Food came out as ordered. I had the chicken sandwich which was nicely prepared and delivered looking quite appealing to the eye as well. sandwich was was very good. My wife ordered the bento box which looked awesome, she knocked it all down and thought it was excellent, Excellent service, stiff drinks and great food all together with an awesome view from the pier makes this a must go if your in this area. Parking is limited in Pier Park so beware. Great place to go beaching for the day and then when the sun goes down behind the high rises you can venture off to the restaurant and catch sun and have a great meal on the pier. Great way to spend a long enjoyable day. I plan to repeat this again and again, as often as possible.
